Airborne & Ground Geophysics
Since 2007, GEOSAN has conducted airborne geophysical surveys using industry-standard acquisition systems and two Cessna Grand Caravans, completing more than 70 projects across Mongolia. Our work has also extended internationally, including surveys in Myanmar, Laos, Inner Mongolia, China and India.
We operate nearly the full range of ground and airborne surveys available today. Each method is matched to the target: minerals, water, structure or radiation. All surveys are delivered as processed, interpreted data.
Our flagship service. Flying two Cessna Grand Caravans, we measure variations in the Earth's magnetic field, natural gamma radiation and magnetic gradients across entire survey blocks. GPS-guided line flying with laser and radar altimeters ensures precise coverage; processed data is delivered as interpreted grids and maps ready for your geologists.
Our core area of ground expertise. Induced Polarisation, DC resistivity and TEM surveys for mineral exploration, groundwater, geothermal and structural mapping.
GEOSAN introduced the first micro-gal CG-5 gravimeters to Mongolia. We have completed 1:200,000-scale gravity mapping across the majority of the country, supporting regional geology, petroleum, mineral and geothermal studies.
Gamma-ray spectrometry mapping potassium, uranium and thorium at surface level, used as ground truth for airborne data or as a standalone tool. Our vehicle system scans continuously with full-spectrum logging and GPS positioning.
High-sensitivity ground magnetics for geological mapping, mining, fault location and archaeological survey. The GSM-19TW delivers sub-0.1 nT sensitivity with integrated GPS across all terrain types.
GEOSAN carried out a magnetic gradiometer and radiometric aero-geophysical survey over Tamil Nadu, India, deploying our own flight crew, technical staff and instruments for the full duration of the project. The same standard of in-house, end-to-end delivery our clients rely on across Mongolia and the wider region.
Geophysical data underpins decisions far beyond the survey block itself. Here is where our clients put it to work.
Discover mineral systems, map geological structures and accelerate drill targeting for copper, gold, uranium and critical minerals.
Build high-resolution geological datasets for national mapping programs, basin studies and resource assessments.
Support aquifer mapping and groundwater exploration using integrated electromagnetic and radiometric methods.
Identify subsurface structures and reservoir targets for geothermal and energy exploration projects.
Every survey runs through the same disciplined sequence, whether it's a two-day ground grid or a multi-week airborne block.
We review the target, terrain and timeline, then recommend the method, line spacing and instrumentation, with a fixed-price quote.
Crew, aircraft and instruments deploy to the block. We open field aerodromes where needed and coordinate access and permits.
GPS-guided line flying or ground traverse, with continuous QC so re-flights or re-reads happen in the field, not after demobilisation.
Data is levelled, filtered and modelled in-house, then handed over as interpreted grids, maps and reports ready for your geologists.
Tell us the target and the terrain. We'll propose the right method, the line spacing and the deliverables.
